Warm up with a bowl of Creamy Broccoli Cheese Soup. This soup is so good and easy to make!
Creamy Broccoli Cheese Soup
2 large broccoli florets, (make broccoli chunks to your size preference)
2 cups broccoli water
1/4 cup butter
1/2 small onion, chopped fine (or 1 teaspoon onion powder if you prefer)
1/4 cup flour
2 cans chicken broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
1 can evaporated milk
Steam or boil broccoli until desired tenderness.
Saute onions in butter. Add flour and cook until it starts to lightly brown. Add can of chicken broth and stir until smooth. Then add second can and bring to a boil.
Add 2 cups broccoli water left from steaming or boiling your broccoli.
Reduce heat and add Worcestershire sauce and salt. Add milk and Velveeta cheese stirring until smooth.
Add broccoli and simmer for 10 minutes.
