Ingredients
See printable recipe card below for all ingredients, specific measurements, and complete instructions.
- 1 tube crescent roll dough
- 16 ham slices (deli)
- 8 cheddar cheese slices
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp parsley (dried)
How To Make Ham And Cheddar Crescent Roll-Ups
Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll out the crescent dough pieces. Lay down two pieces of deli ham, leaving a margin of dough on both ends then place a piece of cheese on top of the ham.

Beginning from the widest end, begin to roll up the crescent dough, encasing the ham and cheese on the inside. Then place on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Mix together the melted butter, garlic powder and parsley. Brush the butter mixture over the tops of the crescent roll-ups.

Bake for approximately 10 to15 minutes or until the tops of the rollers are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes as to not burn yourself on the cheese!
Serve and enjoy!

Variations and Substitutions
- You can make your own Crescent rolls instead of using store bought.
- Use Turkey or chicken instead of ham.
- Add yellow mustard or Dijon mustard.
- Use Colby Jack or Pepper Jack cheese.
How To Store
I think this are best served fresh warm out of the oven but if you have any leftover they can be stored in the refrigerator. Allow to cool then place the ham and cheese crescent rolls in a airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.

I’am a 13 year old and i like this but i feel like it would be better if you made it with bacon or bacon bits.
You could definitely add bacon to it if you like. This recipe is easy to modify. Give it a try. Merry Christmas!
Easy to make during the busy week and they taste great!
@Michele, how much does it make?
Hi! It makes 8 servings. Hope you enjoy it!
@Jaden, good call!! I will definitely be adding bacon next time I make this!
Grandkids loved them(toddlers). Easy to make and easy for them to handle!
I’m so glad they loved them Bonnie! They are a favorite at our house.
I wonder how it would be if I froze it and my son could warm it up at school have you ever tried it?
I haven’t tried freezing them so I’m not sure how they would hold up.
@Karen, did you try and freeze them? Looking to do this myself and wanted some tips
@Erin, I’m going to make some for my elderly mother and freeze them. I will let you know how they do being frozen.
Trying these for the first time. Going on a long flight and need something to feed the hungry growing boys besides nuts and junk food. Made them the night before and then wrapped in tin foil and placed in disposable container for the trip. Hoping they are a hit! If not they will have to eat nuts!!!!
I hope everyone enjoys them!
Sounds lovely! Will give these a try. I am sure my boys would love them.
Hi Debbie. I hope they enjoy them! They are delicious.
These were great. Mine didn’t want to brown on top but they were still great.
So glad you liked them!
Made them for breakfast this morning. They’re pretty good. I did use good ham and good cheddar cheese. Will make them again.
So glad you enjoyed them!
How are they as leftovers? Do you eat them cold or reheat?
We have never had any leftover to save but I would put them in the refrigerator and then reheat in microwave or oven the next day.
I needed a quick appetizer for a get together. I saved this pin because it sounded easy. I remembered this pin so I gave it a try. I used white American cheese because sometimes cheddar seems too oily. I doubled the batch and made one with ham and one with chicken, after they were baked I cut them in threes served with tooth picks. They were a hit people wanted the recipe. Thank you.
Awesome! So glad it was a hit. Thanks for sharing!
I made these the other evening for a quick and easy dinner. It was simple to make and didn’t take very long at all. Only thing was I baked them for the full time and still needed to bake 5 mins longer. It’s possible that every oven or where you live my need a lil more time or possibly even less. However, they were very good.
Thanks for sharing! So glad you liked them.
Made them, love them, will definitely make again!
So glad! Thank you for sharing!
Delicious! My 7 year old had a great time helping mom make dinner. We didn’t have ham so we used turkey instead, but kept everything else the same. She laid the meat and cheese on the crescent and rolled them up. And then I re-rolled them. LOL She was very proud and we all loved them too! Thanks for the recipe!
How fun! I love this! I bet she loved helping out. Thanks for sharing!
Glad I found this recipe. I’m trying it tonight. I bought Black Forest Ham and Mesquite Roast Beef from the deli. I’m changing the cheese, too, and using Smoked Havarti with the Ham, and Smoked Gouda with the Roast Beef. I will definitely try the recipe again soon, but the original version because it made my mouth water. I shared it with another lady at the deli and she is making the original recipe tonight. Thank you so much. There are nights I don’t feel like making a huge meal, but this is sure to please everyone.
That sounds like a delicious combination! Let us know how you liked it. Thanks for sharing!
Just made two batches of these while watching football game with my son and his two adult children.
They were delicious! Everyone loved them. Thank you for a quick snack.
Made this for a brunch today – big hit! Only change I made – brush with butter and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning – really good!
Wondering if these could be done in the air-fryer?
Hi Ms Sally! I have never tried it in the air-fryer so I’m not sure how it would turn out.
@Judy, I tried these I. The air fryer and they turned out great! I did 300° for 8min and they were perfect!
Hi Chelsea! That’s great and thank you for letting us know they worked for you in the air fryer!
I made these tonight and my kids really liked them. My husband thought they were a little salty. I’m a vegetarian, so I made a few for myself with cheese and a little spicy mustard. The rest of the family had Gouda cheese and prosciutto in theirs. I think my grown son ate about 6 of them! Mine were very good and the kids were quite happy. Next time, you just can’t stand the thought of cooking, these are very easy to whip up. Depending on your stove, they are done in 10-12 minutes. Yum!
They were delicious I messed up, (ik what your thinking how can you mess this up) well I used big crescents instead of small ones, they still taste the same (obviously) but there a little bigger lol still really great I love this recipe!!!??
So easy and delicious! I made these as is, and also made some chicken cheddar, and vegetarian ones with roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli and cheddar. Loved it!
I love that this looks really easy to make. This will be perfect for family dinners. Thank you for sharing this recipe! I cannot wait to make them 🙂
Just made these. But I switched out the ham for roast beef, and made it into a beef dip type. With a bowl of Aujus.
That sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing.
I am about to make these with my fiancé! I only have American cheese so I hope it goes well but these look awesome
I made this recipe today and received many compliments! I made a double batch and they all disappeared. My only thing I would do differently next time is use less butter to brush on them before baking. The bottoms did come out a little soggy but didn’t stop people from gobbling them down!!
Hi Nancy! I’m so glad you liked it. Thanks for commenting. 🤗
Think I could prep them ahead of time, like in the morning for dinner that night? That way I can just stick them in when I get home?
Hi Deanna! I haven’t tried prepping ahead but I don’t so why you couldn’t. I would not add the melted butter, garlic powder and parsley until you are ready to bake. And you may need to bake just a little longer. Hope you enjoy them!
Would Swiss cheese work in this recipe? Has anyone tried it?
Hi Pat! I haven’t tried it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Let us know if you try it!
Perfect and so versatile, thanks will give it a try during summer vacation with the grandkids
