  • 5 cups day old bread
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 tsp Maple extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease a large baking dish, set aside. For easy clean up just add a little oil to a paper towel and coat the sides well.

  3. You can chop your bread or make it easy on yourself and just tear it into small bite sized pieces, save yourself cleaning the knife and tear the bread.

  4. Toss bread pieces in a large bowl with the melted butter to coat well.

  5. In a separate bowl whisk together half and half, pumpkin puree, maple extract, brown sugar, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice.

  6. Pour pumpkin mixture over bread pieces and toss until well coated.

  7. Place pumpkin bread mixture in your prepared pan.

  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are brown and just starting to crisp.

  9. Remove from oven, cool slightly, serve warm drizzled with maple syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you like.
