Ingredients

  • 1 15.25-ounce Funfetti cake mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

Toppings

  • whipped cream
  • rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle iron.
  • Stir together the cake mix, milk, egg, and vegetable oil with a spoon until the mixture is well combined. If there are still clumps, use a whisk to break them up.
  • Once your waffle iron is preheated, add about ⅔ cup of the mixture and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden. Repeat until the batter is used up.
  • Serve with whipped cream and additional rainbow sprinkles!

Notes

The number of waffles this makes will depend on the size of your waffle maker. In a 6-inch round waffle maker, it makes about four and a half waffles.
These waffles are naturally softer and more cake-like than traditional waffles because they're made with cake mix.
Store any leftover waffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
