Nutella Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup Nutella

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease or spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, and then set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
  • Add peeled bananas, and beat until bananas are mostly incorporated. Note: if you aren’t using a stand mixer or electric hand mixer, you may want to mash bananas with a fork or potato masher before adding them to the egg mixture.
  • Next, add the flour mixture to the batter mixture, and stir until combined.
  • Separate ⅓ of the batter into another bowl, and add the Nutella. Mix well.
  • Add both batters one spoonful at a time to the baking pan. Alternating between Nutella batter, and regular batter until all your batter is used.
  • Swirl the batter together with a butter knife.
  • Bake in the center of the oven for one hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven, and let it cool in the pan for 8 minutes.
  • Use a butter knife to loosen the bread from the pan, and turn onto a wire rack to cool.

Notes

Allow the bread to cool completely before storing. Then, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to keep it fresh. You can store it at room temperature for up to 2 days, but if you want it to last longer, it's best to store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
