  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

  • 1 cup slivered or sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Whisk in the melted butter.
  • Slowly whisk in the flour and cocoa until well combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter into a prepared 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • Bake in the center of the oven for 25 minutes.

  • Switch oven to broil, and broil for 2-3 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown. Watch it closely.
  • Remove from oven and serve while marshmallows are still soft.

Notes

You can easily double the recipe to make a larger batch of brownies. Use a 9x13 inch baking pan and increase the baking time by 5-10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
Store leftover Rocky Road Brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
