Ingredients

  • pounds boneless skinless chicken breast or breast tenderloins
  • 1 bottle Buffalo sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray’s Mild Buffalo sauce)
  • ½ packet ranch seasoning mix
  • Buns for serving

Instructions

  • Lightly spray the bowl of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray and then add the chicken.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the top.
  • Pour the entire bottle of buffalo sauce over the top, making sure all the chicken is covered.
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and set to cook on low for four to five hours or high for three hours until chicken reaches internal temperature of 165°F.
  • When chicken is done remove it from the slow cooker and shred chicken with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
  • Continue cooking the meat for 15 to 20 minutes on high before serving.
  • Serve on hamburger buns or hoagie rolls and top with your choice of dressing. Ranch dressing and blue cheese dressing are two great options.

Notes

Store any leftover buffalo chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
