Combine ground beef and all other ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
Divide beef into 6 ounce sections and shape into patties. Press a hole in the middle to cook evenly.
Spritz air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray, if desired. Place a little water on the inside of the basket to help prevent smoking.
Place patties in a single layer in air fryer basket. Make sure there is plenty of space for each patty to cook (not touching). You can do this in batches, if needed.
Cook for 8 minutes then flip the burgers.
Cook for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until desired doneness and a thermometer reads 160°. (The USDA sets the minimum safe temperature for ground beef at 160 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Serve burgers on buns, with favorite toppings such as cheese, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mustard and ketchup.
Notes
Cooking times can vary between brands of air fryers.
