These perfectly seasoned Air Fryer Hamburgers are juicy and delicious and make a quick and easy lunch or dinner that will make everyone happy. Serve with your favorite toppings.
Tips For Using the Air Fryer To Cook Hamburgers
- Always preheat the Air Fryer.
- Remember that cooking times vary between brands of Air Fryers so start with the lowest cooking time and then check the burgers for doneness. Also check your brands recommendation for suggested cooking times.
- Don't overcrowd the basket. Make sure the burger patties are not touching when placed in the basket. Cook in batches if necessary to prevent overcrowding.
- If you are adding cheese do not add cheese to the hamburgers while the Air Fryer is on. Instead once the burgers are done, turn off the Air Fryer and add the cheese slices and then close the basket for a minute to melt the cheese.
- Place a little bit of water on the inside of the basket to help prevent smoking that can happen from the fat draining off the hamburgers.
Air Fryer Hamburgers
We like to serve these juicy Air Fryer burgers with sweet potato fries. Other side options that go great with burgers are potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans or potato chips.
Ingredients
1 ½ pounds ground beef, (ground chuck 80/20 or leaner)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon A.1. Original Sauce
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
How To Make Air Fryer Hamburgers
1. Preheat air fryer to 360 degrees.
2. Combine ground beef and all other ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
3. Divide beef into 6 ounce sections and shape into patties. Press a hole in the middle to cook evenly.
4. Spritz air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray, if desired. Place a little water on the inside of the basket to help prevent smoking.
5. Place patties in a single layer in air fryer basket. Make sure there is plenty of space for each patty to cook (not touching). You can do this in batches, if needed.
6. Cook for 8 minutes then flip the burgers.
7. Cook for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until desired doneness and a thermometer reads 160°. (The USDA sets the minimum safe temperature for ground beef at 160 degrees Fahrenheit.)
8. Serve burgers on buns, with favorite toppings such as cheese, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mustard and ketchup.
