Creamy Grape Salad

Creamy Grape Salad is a classic recipe that my family loves!  Made with green and red grapes, cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla extract and topped with brown sugar and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds seedless red grapes
  • 2 pounds seedless green grapes
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Topping Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons brown sugar, light or dark
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Wash and remove any stems from grapes. Dry well and set aside.
  • Beat the softened cream cheese, sour cream and sugar in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add in vanilla and mix until blended.
  • Add the grapes and fold in to coat. Mix thoroughly.
  • Place in serving bowl and cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours until ready to serve.
  • Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans just before serving.

Notes

You can cut the grapes in half to make it easier to serve. Whole grapes are considered a choking hazard for children and the elderly.
This grape salad tastes best when prepared and served the same day. I like to make it the morning I plan to serve it and let it chill in the refrigerator until I am ready to serve. Allow at least 3 to 4 hours of chill time for best flavor.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
