Healthier Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Warm up with this Healthier Peppermint Hot Chocolate made with raw cacao powder, pure maple syrup, coconut milk and almond milk.

- 2 cups almond milk
- 2 ½ Tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 3 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract
- ¼ cup coconut milk
In a small saucepan combine the almond milk, cacao and syrup and heat over medium heat.
As you warm the milk, whisk the cacao until no lumps remain. You want the milk to heat but NOT boil! Once it has warmed up, mix in the coconut milk, peppermint and vanilla.
It's important to whisk really well to remove any chunks from the coconut milk.
Continue heating for a few more minutes until it is blended and creamy.
Remove from heat and serve in your favorite mugs.
