Italian Pasta Bake

This is one of those dishes that’s perfect for taking to a church supper, family gathering or any social event. It’s also a quick and easy delicious meal to serve for dinner that your family will really appreciate!

My family likes just about any kind of pasta and I enjoy this recipe because it uses the medium pasta shells. You could easily add mushrooms and green peppers if you like or use provolone cheese with the mozzarella instead of Parmesan cheese.

Italian Pasta Bake

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (24 ounces) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
3 cups cooked medium pasta shells (cook according to package directions)
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain.

Stir in the spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Bring to boil. Add Parmesan cheese and reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add cooked pasta to beef mixture.

Transfer to an ungreased 13″x9″ baking dish. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.

Cover and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.
