How To Make Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies – Step By Step
STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

STEP 2: In medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
STEP 3: In a separate large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.

STEP 4: Add the egg and vanilla and beat until combined. Next add in the dry ingredients and mix until blended.

STEP 8: Allow to cool on the pan for five minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
Tips And Variations For Making Chocolate Kiss Cookies
- Make sure your egg and butter are at room temperature before using in recipe.
- Chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes for a thicker cookie that won’t spread too thin as they bake.
- Keep the Hershey’s Kisses in the refrigerator until ready to use to prevent the chocolate from melting too much.
- Try a different variety of Hershey’s Kisses. Instead of milk chocolate try special dark chocolate or milk chocolate filled with caramel. I think there are about 14 varieties to choose from.
- For best results bake the cookies on the middle oven rack.
- Roll dough in finely chopped candy canes instead of sugar for a delicious Christmas Cookie treat.
- Get creative and festive for different holiday events or parities and roll the balls of dough in sprinkles to match the occasion.
I think these are best when they are warm. I always reheat mine for a few seconds in the microwave to soften the Hershey’s kisses just a little. So good!
Frequently Asked Questions:
How Do I Store These Cookies?
Place the Kiss cookies in an airtight container and store at room temperature on the counter for 3 to 5 days.
Can I Freeze Cookie Dough Before Baking?
Yes you can freeze the dough before baking. Once you have rolled the dough into balls, place the balls into a freezer safe bag. Press as much air out as possible and seal. I like to double bag it or wrap in layer of aluminum foil for extra protection. Store the dough in the freezer for up to 3 months.
