These Chocolate Peanut Buter Oatmeal Bars are a delicious and easy treat to make with only 6 ingredients. Peanut butter, chocolate chips and oatmeal are the perfect flavor combination!

One thing I really love about this recipe is that it uses simple basic ingredients that I usually keep in my pantry. So I can whip up a batch of these dessert bars anytime the craving hits.
Substitutions And Variations
- These bars can also be made with nut butter or sunflower butter instead of peanut butter.
- To double the peanut butter flavor leave out the chocolate chips and add peanut butter chips instead.
- Raisins make a great addition in these bars and add more flavor.
- You can use Nutella instead of peanut butter. Kids love Nutella so it's the perfect substitution.
- For a little crunch add in some pecans or walnuts. My husband always loves nuts in dessert bars.
- Use creamy or crunchy peanut butter in the recipe. Either one will work.

These are no bake Chocolate Peanut Buter Oat Bars so no need to turn on the oven. The layers of goodness include an oatmeal layer, chocolate peanut butter layer and another layer of oatmeal topped with melted chocolate. A delicious treat anytime!
Ingredients

- unsalted butter
- light brown sugar
- vanilla extract
- quick cooking oats
- chocolate chips – semi sweet or dark chocolate works best
- peanut butter

How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars
Prepare a 9x9 pan by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper and set it aside.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter then stir in the brown sugar until well dissolved. Add in the vanilla extract and oats and cook until all ingredients are well combined.
Split the oatmeal mixture in half and add ½ of it to the bottom of your prepared pan. Smooth and press it into an even layer.

Next prepare the chocolate peanut butter mixture. Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter in a double boiler. Constantly stir until the mixture is smooth.

Pour ¾ of the chocolate and peanut butter mixture over the bottom layer of oats.


Then spoon the remaining oat mixture on top of the chocolate peanut butter layer until the entire top is covered then drizzle the remaining chocolate peanut butter mixture across the top.


Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set. Once set, cut and serve.
How To Store: Cover and store in the refrigerator.
