Ingredients for Apple Pie Crescent Ring in glass bowls on counter

How To Make Apple Pie Crescent Ring

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare a large baking sheet or baking stone by lining with parchment paper. I used a round baking stone.

In a large skillet over medium heat add apples, lemon juice, and water. Cook until the apples begin to soften; about 7 to 9 minutes.

Combine dry ingredients. Add brown sugar, cornstarch, ground cinnamon, nutmeg and salt to a mixing bowl. Whisk together well.

Add the sugar mixture to the skillet and toss the apples to coat. Cook until the sugar syrup thickens; about 2 to 3 minutes. Stirring often.

Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Open the tubes of crescent roll dough and separate the triangles. On the prepared baking sheet create a ring with the crescent rolls by arranging triangles in ring so wide sides of triangles form a circle in the center. Dough will overlap and will look like the sun. Press down the crescents where they overlap.

Spoon the apples in a circle onto the overlapping crescent dough.

Place the points of the crescent rolls over the apple filing and tuck under bottom of dough to secure it.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until done and the crescent dough is golden brown.

Slice and serve warm. Top with your choice of icing, powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, vanilla ice cream, or drizzle with caramel sauce and pecans.

How To Store Leftovers: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
