The Instant Pot is the best way to cook hard boiled eggs because it basically steams them. It's the only way I will cook them now. They peel so easily. I've always had problems peeling boiled eggs until I started using the Instant Pot.
Deviled Eggs have always been apart of Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner when I was growing up. My mom made hers with mayonnaise, mustard and dill pepper relish.
My Aunt made hers with sweet relish. I definitely prefer dill relish. I've never been a fan of sweet relish.
Instant Pot Deviled Eggs Ingredients
To make these delicious Instant Pot Deviled Eggs you will need a dozen eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, paprika, salt and pepper.
- 12 eggs
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- Dash salt and pepper
Variations And Substitutions For Instant Pot Deviled Eggs
- Add dill pickle relish or sweet relish.
- Use sour cream instead of mayonnaise.
- Mix mashed avocado, lime juice, egg yolks and salsa together and stuff in eggs.
- Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
- Use Dijon mustard instead of classic yellow mustard.
- Add crumbled bacon.
How To Make Instant Pot Deviled Eggs
Add 1 cup water to the Instant Pot inner pot. Add eggs to a steaming basket or to the trivet over water.
Close the lid on the pressure cooker and turn the valve to sealing position. Set to a manual high time for 5 minutes. When the cooking time has finished, do a natural release for 5 minutes before releasing the rest of the pressure.
Remove eggs from the steamer basket and place them in an ice water to stop the cooking process. Shells will easily peel off the eggs with little effort.
Slice eggs in half lengthwise and place yolks in a separate bowl. Mix yolks together with remaining ingredients.
Pipe yolk mixture into egg halves and then top with additional paprika or other toppings as desired.
