Ingredient Notes
See the printable recipe card below for all ingredients, specific measurements, and complete instructions.

- Hawaiian Style Rolls - You can find these soft, sweet rolls in most grocery stores. They are the perfect vessel for sliders.
- Sliced Ham - Look for thinly sliced ham in the deli section of your grocery store.
- Swiss and American Cheese - These two types of cheese complement each other well, adding delightful creaminess and flavor to the Hawaiian roll breakfast sliders.
- Eggs - You will need 8 large eggs for this recipe. Make sure to use room temperature eggs for maximum fluffiness.
- Milk - Adding milk to the egg mixture makes the scrambled eggs lighter and creamier.
- Butter - You will need both melted butter for the egg wash and butter for cooking the eggs.
- Salt and Pepper - Use these to season the scrambled eggs to your liking.
- Everything Bagel Seasoning - This savory seasoning adds a nice spiced flavor to the sliders, but it is optional.
How To Make Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9x13 baking dish by greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
While the oven heats up, whisk together the eggs and milk in a large bowl until they're well combined.
The key here is to use room temperature eggs and milk to ensure the eggs turn out fluffy and light when cooked.

Next, heat a large frying pan over medium-low heat, and add butter, letting it melt and coat the pan evenly. To achieve creamy and flavorful eggs, pour the egg mixture into the pan and cook it like a large omelet.
Remember to lift the edges of the eggs to let the uncooked portion flow underneath, ensuring even cooking throughout. Season the eggs with salt and pepper to your liking for that perfect balance of flavors.
Now, here comes the fun part! Cut the package of Hawaiian style rolls in half without separating the individual rolls. Place the bottom section of the rolls in the prepared baking dish followed by a layer of Swiss cheese.

Add the fluffy scrambled eggs, sliced ham, and American cheese, which will add a creamy texture to the sliders. Finally, crown the sliders with the top section of the rolls, creating a delicious stack of goodness.
In a small bowl or cup, whisk together an egg and melted butter (make sure the butter is at room temperature, not hot) to create an egg wash. Brush this mixture over the top of the sliders to give them a golden-brown finish. The egg wash will help achieve a beautiful toast on the top of the sliders.
Cover the baking dish with foil, making sure it doesn't touch the sliders, and bake for 12 minutes. Then, uncover the dish and bake for an additional 3-4 minutes to achieve that perfect toasty top.

Let them cool for 10 minutes in the pan before serving. This will ensure that the bottoms crisp up.
As a finishing touch, you can sprinkle "Everything Bagel" seasoning over the sliders for added flavor.
Can I use regular dinner rolls instead of Hawaiian rolls for this recipe?
While you can use regular dinner rolls, the unique sweetness of Hawaiian rolls adds a distinct flavor to the sliders. However, if you prefer, you can substitute with similar-sized dinner rolls.
Storing and Freezing
Store: Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven until warmed through before serving.
Freeze: To freeze sliders, wrap them individually in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be frozen for up to 1 month. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating in the oven or microwave.
Substitutions and Variations
Feel free to experiment with different fillings like cooked bacon, breakfast sausage, or even vegetarian options like roasted vegetables. The key is to ensure that the fillings are cooked and evenly distributed between the layers.
- Add veggies. Incorporate vegetables like sliced tomatoes, sautéed spinach, or caramelized onions between the layers of eggs, ham, and cheese for added flavor and nutrition.
- Meat swap. Replace the ham with crispy bacon strips or breakfast sausage patties for a flavorful twist that pairs perfectly with the sweet Hawaiian rolls and gooey cheese.
- Give it a spicy kick. Add thinly sliced jalapeños or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes to each slider for a simple way to introduce some heat without overpowering the other flavors.
- Swap out the cheese. Experiment with different cheese combinations such as cheddar, pepper jack, or provolone to give your breakfast sliders a unique twist.

Recipe Tips
- Use room temperature ingredients: Using room temperature eggs, milk, and butter will help incorporate air and create lighter and fluffier scrambled eggs.
- Whisk the egg mixture well: Make sure to whisk the eggs and milk thoroughly until they are well combined. This will help incorporate air into the mixture and result in fluffier scrambled eggs.
- Cook the eggs slowly: When cooking the eggs, use medium-low heat and cook them slowly to prevent browning or overcooking. Lift the edges of the eggs to let the uncooked portion flow underneath and ensure even cooking.
- Let the sliders rest before serving: Allow the sliders to rest for a few minutes after removing them from the oven. This will help the layers to settle and make it easier to cut through them without everything falling apart.
- Serrated knife. Use a serrated knife to cut all the way through each slider so that when you remove the sliders, all the layers stay together.

Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 8 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 package Hawaiian style rolls
- 12 ounces sliced ham
- 6 slices of Swiss cheese
- 6 slices of American cheese (or cheddar cheese)
Egg Wash Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 Tablespoons melted butter
- Everything Bagel Seasoning optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9x13 baking dish with pan spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, add eggs and milk and whisk completely. In a large frying pan (square if possible), add butter and heat to medium-low. Pour in the egg mixture and cook like a big omelet, lifting the eggs at the edges to allow the uncooked eggs to run under the cooked eggs until all the eggs are cooked. Salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Cut the package of rolls in half as one pieces (don’t split apart rolls) In the 9x13 baking dish place bottom section of rolls. Layer Swiss cheese on bottom, then eggs (cut them to fit the rectangle shape) then ham, then American cheese and top with top section of rolls.
- In a small bowl or cup, add the egg and whisk. Add the melted butter (not hot, so it doesn’t cook the egg) and whisk together. With a pastry brush, brush the mixture over the top of the sliders.
- Cover with foil (try not to let the foil touch the sliders). Bake for 12 minutes. Uncover the sliders and bake for 3-4 more minutes to toast the top.
- Remove from oven (optional - top with “Everything Bagel” seasoning) and cut through each slider so all the layers stay together when you remove the rolls. Enjoy!
