To make a batch of fresh strawberry lemonade at home, you’ll need:
- Fresh strawberries
- Lemons
- Sugar
- Water
How To Make Strawberry Lemonade
Before you can start mixing the ingredients in your pitcher, you’ll need to take a few minutes to prep your ingredients. First, squeeze enough fresh lemon juice to fill up one cup. After that, remove the leaves and stems from your strawberries and cut each berry in half.

Combine your strawberries with a little bit of sugar and a little bit of water in a blender. Blend until the berries are smooth and well combined with the water. After that, pour the mixture into the bottom of your pitcher.

Add the rest of the sugar to the pitcher, along with the lemon juice, lemon slices, and water. Stir vigorously to mix the strawberries into the lemon juice. Continue stirring until all the sugar is dissolved.
Place your pitcher in the refrigerator to chill the lemonade until you’re ready to serve it. Or fill up a few glasses with ice and enjoy your drink right now!

Recipe Variations
You’re going to love how quick and easy it is to make this homemade lemonade recipe. And since the recipe is so simple, it’s also easy to adjust! Try one of these variations to create a delicious drink for your next get-together.
- Make it sparkling. Add some bubbles to your fresh lemonade with the help of club soda. Replace the water in this recipe with club soda to create sparkling strawberry lemonade.
- Serve with fresh mint. Make your strawberry lemonade even more refreshing with the help of fresh mint leaves. Add a sprig of mint to the glass before serving. Or mix some mint leaves into the pitcher for extra freshness in every sip.
How To Store
Once you have your lemonade mixed up and ready to go, you can enjoy it right away. But if you have leftover juice, it’s best to keep it refrigerated.
For long-term storage, remove the lemon slices from the pitcher after they’ve soaked for a few hours. Once the lemon slices are removed, your strawberry lemonade will stay fresh for up to three days in the refrigerator.
How Do I Juice a Lemon Without a Juicer?
Using a juicer is the quickest and easiest way to extract fresh juice from your lemons. But if you don’t have one at home, don’t worry! There is another way to get the juice out of your lemons for your lemonade. Just follow these simple tips for juicing your lemons.
- Roll the lemons on the counter. Before you start cutting your lemons to extract the juice, there’s one important step you need to take – rolling the fruit on the counter. Place the lemon on its side and roll the lemon along the counter with the palm of your hand. Lightly press down with your hand as you roll to help break up the pulp inside the lemon, making it easier to extract the juice.
- Cut the lemon in half. Next, cut your lemon in half right down the center to expose the pulp.
- Squeeze the lemon. Holding the cut side of the lemon over a glass, squeeze the sides of the lemon together between your palms. Rotate the lemon slightly, then squeeze again. Continue squeezing until all the juice has been extracted.
- Strain the juice. Once you have all your lemons cut and juiced, there’s one more step you’ll need to take before adding it to your lemonade. Use a fine mesh strainer to remove the pulp and seeds from your juice. Place the strainer over the top of a clean cup. Pour the juice over the top of the strainer, catching all the unwanted bits inside. Discard the pulp and add the freshly squeezed juice to your lemonade.
