The best part about this cobbler is how easy it is to make. Using canned cinnamon rolls and peach pie filling means you can have a tasty homemade dessert ready in no time, even when unexpected guests drop by.

I came up with this recipe when looking for a quick dessert to make for a family movie night. The kids were begging for something sweet, and I didn’t have time for a complicated recipe. This cobbler was a hit from the first bite.
One thing I love about this dish is how easily it comes together. On nights when I’m short on time but still want to serve a homemade dessert, this is my go-to recipe. The aroma of cinnamon and peaches filling the house as it bakes is an added bonus.
I’ve found this cobbler is perfect for potlucks, too. It travels well, and there’s never any left to bring home. I have several family members who request it for practically every holiday!
For serving, you simply must bust out the vanilla ice cream. The contrast of the cold ice cream with the warm, gooey cobbler is absolutely divine.
Ingredient Notes
See the printable recipe card below for all ingredients, specific measurements, and complete instructions.

- Cinnamon rolls: Get them from the refrigerated section of your local grocery story. These make up the base of our cobbler.
- Peach pie filling: Gives us juicy peaches without any of the prep work.
- Chai spice (or Cinnamon): Adds an extra layer of warmth. Cinnamon or apple pie spice will work as well.
- White sugar: For a touch more sweetness.
- Brown sugar: Gives a hint of caramel flavor and helps create a syrupy texture.
- Butter: Adds richness and helps everything brown nicely.
- Walnuts: Optional, but highly recommended for a bit of crunch.
How To Make Cinnamon Roll Peach Cobbler
Preheat your oven to 350°F and butter a 9×13 baking dish.

Open up those cinnamon roll cans and cut each roll into quarters. You should end up with 64 pieces. Spread them out in the baking dish.
Mix the chai spice (or cinnamon) with the white sugar and sprinkle it over the roll pieces. If you’re using walnuts, now’s the time to add them.
Pour the peach filling over the rolls, making sure it’s evenly spread. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top, then drizzle with the melted butter.
Pop it in the oven for 30-35 minutes. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t brown too much. Check that the rolls in the middle are cooked through.

Let it cool for about 10 minutes, then drizzle with the frosting that came with the rolls. Serve it up and watch it disappear!

Variations
- Change up the fruit. Try apple pie filling or cherry pie filling for a different flavor.
- Swap the nuts. Use pecans or sliced almonds instead of walnuts for a different crunch.
Make Ahead, Storing and Freezing
Make Ahead: You can assemble this cobbler up to 24 hours in advance. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. When ready to bake, remove from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking. You may need to add 5-10 minutes to the baking time.
Store: Leftover cobbler can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.
Freeze: This cobbler is best enjoyed fresh. Freezing may alter the texture of the cinnamon rolls and make the dish soggy upon thawing.
Recipe Tips
- Cut the cinnamon rolls with a pizza cutter to make it easy.
- Ensure the cinnamon roll pieces in the middle are fully cooked before removing from the oven.
- If the top browns too quickly, cover with foil for the remaining baking time.
- Let the cobbler cool for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set slightly.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a special treat.
Can I use fresh peaches instead of canned filling?
Sure! You’ll need about 4 cups of sliced peaches. Toss them with some sugar and cornstarch to thicken the juices.

This Cinnamon Roll Peach Cobbler is perfect for those times when you want a homemade dessert without spending hours in the kitchen. It’s a clever shortcut that tastes just as good as a traditional cobbler. Your family will love this warm, gooey treat!
