Tips For Making Mexican Layer Dip

You can make this dip mild or spicy depending on the heat level of the salsa and taco seasoning used.

Drain some of the liquid out of the salsa if it's not really chunky to avoid it being too watery.

For best flavor cover and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1 (16 ounce) container prepared guacamole
1 (16 ounce) jar chunky salsa, (drain 3 tablespoons of the liquid and reserve)
1 (16 ounce) bag Mexican blend shredded cheese

How To Make Mexican Layer Dip

Mix 3 tablespoons of the Salsa liquid and 2 tablespoons of the sour cream in with refried beans and stir until combined (this makes it easier to scoop once chilled). Then spread refried beans evenly on the bottom of a 9x13 casserole dish.
