This homemade ice cream recipe is one you will make often. It’s so refreshing during the hot summer months. Plan to make it ahead of time as it does require several hours of freezing time. But the wait will be worth it!

It’s such an easy recipe to customize. You can include any fruit pie flavor you prefer. Like cherry pie or a blueberry pie.

Freeze for 5 to 6 hours until firm or overnight.

Remove from freezer and let it sit on the counter to soften for 5-10 minutes prior to serving.

Serve with your favorite fresh fruit for topping. Enjoy!

Storing Homemade Ice Cream

Keep it tightly sealed in a airtight freezer safe container to prevent it from absorbing strong smells from your freezer and to prevent ice crystals from forming.
